It's a bit chilly

It's been a bit chilly and we've had to wear some sweaters around here... But even though we've been a bit cold our hearts our warm and we as a 6th grade team absolutely love these 6th graders!!!!  They are the BEST!!!!

Happenings:

We have been busy studying about early Mesopotamia and learning about the Fertile Crescent, making a map of the area and the people of that time.  We continue learning about the moon and it's phases.  Don't forget to continue working on the moon monthly project.  You may look at the moon phase calendar by linking to it from this blog (the smoke and the clouds have prevented us from looking at it for a few days).

We learned why we have a Solar and Lunar Eclipse and made diagrams as to why they happen.

We have been practicing our paragraph writing and trying to become better writers.  We have also learned all the formulas for finding AREA of a Triangle, rectangle, parallelogram, and trapezoid.

WOW WE are SMART!!!!

We also began our NOVA course with Officer Wolfgram and have been learning how to be good Citizens and responsible people.  We are grateful he can come teach us Every Tuesday!!!!
