Greek Olympics and Marathon Reading

Last week was fun filled! Full of new things to be learned. We practiced with proportions and equal proportions. This week we will practice with scale and design our own floor plans. We will make a "mini me" as part of our final assessment on scale.

Your students have learned a ton of math so far!...We will take an assessment on the first 6 units to see what we need to reteach or enrich. I am pleased with their math skills and success this year!

Last Friday we held our Greek Olympics, had a buddy reading marathon to boost our Jazz Reading and then enjoyed a electronic game party!

Students competed in Grecko thumb wrestling, licorice Javelin throw, long "frog" jump and, paper plate discus throw. We had gold, silver and bronze medalists from each event. We look forward to our Field trip to the Peaks Ice Arena on Friday morning (we will be back for lunch) and then end our day with a Valentine party. You can find a class list for Valentines attached on my Uen page (follow the link on the side). Questions or comments feel free to call or email!
