Literacy: We finished taking our State Persuasive writing exam and I believe all did well! We are now down to crunch time and will hit it hard to get ready for year end testing. We are working on a book project to finish up the lightning thief and we will illustrate large characters from the book to adorn our hallways. This Friday we will take an end of unit test in for vocabulary. You can find the words on my uen page (follow the link to the right and then look under documents). Miss Snow taught us how to bury dead words and to use more exciting verbs and adjectives. We are in the process of creating a tongue twister alphabet book.
Science: Keep watching that moon. If you don't see a moon then let Mrs. Davis know by drawing the sky with clouds or how it looked. Remember the moon doesn't give off light if reflects the Sun's rays.
Math: We are moving right a long with integers, rational numbers and whole numbers. This week we are comparing negative and positive integers as well as adding and subtracting them. We have a ton of real world things to give comparisons.
Social Studies: We finished reading "the lightning thief", watching "Ben Hur" and are starting with our Medieval Unit. Miss Snow will give us our first lesson on Tuesday and then we will participate in a process drama next week to learn about how the plague started.
HAVE A ROCKN" WEEK!
