This WEEK's NEWS...

Yea! WE WON A JAZZ PLAYER...Our assembly will be Tuesday! and we are so excited. The sixth grade worked really hard on this! We read almost HALF the total minutes submitted for our school. Our Faculty FEAR FACTOR assembly will be on Friday in the late afternoon.

Here is what's happening this week...Monday morning...We enjoyed a nice, brisk walk over to the Jr. High for Orientation. Our students are looking forward to what is ahead for them. They were treated very well by the staff and students at Mapleton Jr. High.

We will take the persuasive writing exam Thursday morning, come rested and ready to write! Eat a good breakfast! We will spend Tuesday and Wednesday with last minute prep for our essays.

We took an end of unit assessment on Decimals, percentages and fractions, it was a little bit of a struggle so we will reteach and review Tuesday and then take a small assessment to make sure we all are understanding this concept. By Wednesday we hope to move on to integers(positive and negative numbers).

We have enjoyed watching Ben Hur in class and are still working on finishing up our Lightning Thief book. We should be done with both by the end of the week.

REMEMBER to look at the moon each night and record it for a month for Mrs. Davis. We will turn in our Moon charts on Feb. 27th. Moon Phases are fascinating and really help us keep track of our calendar month.

Your students are earning positive and negative points in class that can be turned in for rewards. Ask them about the fun things they can earn. We are hoping to spur on good behavior and reward them for their efforts. KEEP it UP!!!!

I LOVE YOU GUYS! Have a great week!
