Sounds, Sights and Smiles

Exploring with our Musical instruments
Making a literacy connection with our instruments
Playing addition War

We had a busy couple of weeks. We are up and Rolling in our Sensational Second Grade Class! We have already read three stories in our literacy place, with each other and by ourselves. We have been learning how to make predictions, notice what the author is trying to tell us and learning lots of NEW and exciting vocabulary words. Ask you child what coincidence and confidence mean? You will be amazed!

We have been practicing our Math facts and fact families to 10. Practice flash cards were sent home today which should help your child see the patterns of their addition facts. We worked with a 10 frame today in adding past 10.

WE learned about 9-11 and read a story written by first graders called. September 12th. We made amazing self portraits that will soon adorn our hallway and are learning our place in our world.

Thanks for all your wonderful donations to our Jazzy Jewelry Basket! It looked amazing and was a big hit at the auction.

REMEMBER to help your child read each night for about 20 minutes. That is the most important homework they could do! Thanks for all your support and your wonderful children. Each Day is an awesome adventure!!!
