Our First Week of School

Our First week of school was Awesome...it was so great to have the students back!!!!  They were loved and missed!

We were so brave and tough wearing our masks and worked real hard all week.  We enjoyed a wonderful week of literacy, Science and Social Studies.  We Started our Novel Study on The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate.  We also had a science activity where we saw how many licks it took to get to the center of a Tootsie pop.  The class average was 229.  Ask your student how many licks it took them?  We also made self portrait glyphs (see Mrs. Andersen's sample)  We are in the middle of making "Mask" art and have already done some beautiful abstract following direction art.  We have a most wonderful and talented class.  I am very impressed.  This is going to be a fabulous year.  I am so grateful to be with each of your children and very blessed.  Thank you for allowing me to be their teacher!
